Cat Lover's Blog Hop 2020!

I may have been living under a rock!  I didn't know there was a cat lover's blog hop!  But now I do, so let the fun commence!

My daughter and I were just saying that we don't FEEL like we have a house full of fur babies, until someone asks about our pets.  We have 2 dogs, 4 cats and a ferret! And we love each of them! I do find that it's hard to get good pics of the kitties.  They don't like to pose!  BUT, I have to gush about our newest discovery.  Cat In A Bag!  Our kitties cannot stand being put into carriers!  It's stressful for all involved.  So, out of desperation, I tried this bag that I had seen online a few times.  Best. Thing. Ever!  Look how calm Sophie, my daughter's kitty, is on the way to the vet!  (the vet loved it too!!)

For today's card, kitties were the inspiration of course.  And I always look for an excuse to use my stamps from SugarPea Designs.  A scene like this always takes me out of my comfort zone a bit, because there are so many little elements to think of, and I don't want to choose my colors poorly.  Thank goodness Copic Markers are forgiving! 😉 But, I am actually quite tickled with the finished product!

I am participating in a few challenges this week:

  2. I'm so glad you posted about the cat in a bag! I was wondering if it really worked and was used by "real" people. My one cat is so terrified of the carrier, I hate to make a vet appointment for him. I'm going to order one. I love your image of the girl and her cat in the window. Sweet card!

    1. Thank you! OMGosh! I was the same about the bag! It takes a bit of getting used to, how to fit it properly, but the vet LOVED that she could unzip the back and give our kitty an exam without having to remove her!
