BIG Challenge for a 75th Birthday! and Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 273

I was so flattered when a friend asked me to make a birthday card for her mother's 75th birthday.  Then, I will confess, I panicked a little.  This was the first time that I was making a card to someone else's specifications.  I am so glad I did it though!

The first challenge?  She wanted a GIANT card!  It's her Mom's 75th birthday, and she wanted to go big.  I had her go to the Tiddly Inks store and pick out a digi stamp.  I laughed when she did, because she picked out a bear with balloons.  I had NEVER colored fur or balloons before!!  YouTube became my best friend for a few days, as I binge watched tutorials!

I am actually pretty proud of my first attempt at both fur and balloons.

The birthday girl's favorite color is purple.  I went to Michael's and purchased some coordinating 12x12 purple paper.

I put the card on foam board, because it is so big.  It will be easier to display at a birthday party that way.

I used a challenge at Sweet Sunday Sketch for the layout.  I am pretty pleased with the result.  I had my 8 yr old hold the card, to show it's true size.
